Procedure

The procedure is divided into three categories of students based on differences in admission and/or registration: full-time matriculated students, part-time matriculated students and non-matriculated students.

Full-time Matriculated Students
  • Tuition waiver student will apply in the same manner as all other students and will be granted or denied the offer of admission with other students
  • The offer letter will include a statement. requesting that applicants indicate if they are applying for a tuition waiver under the Workforce NJ Job Training Program. Accepted workforce tuition waiver students must inform the Office of Student Affairs in writing of their intent to pursue the Workforce NJ Job Training Program no later than the deposit due date specified in the offer letter. The accepted workforce tuition waiver student will not be required to submit a deposit and cannot register before the SN determines if the program or course is at full enrollment.
  • Accepted workforce tuition waiver students who do not inform the Office of Student Affairs by the deposit due date that they will be a workforce student, must pay full tuition. This status may not change after enrollment in the program.
  • Workforce tuition waiver students must submit in writing to the Office of Student Affairs their intent to pursue the Workforce Development Training Program by the deposit due date as specified in the offer letter, and must submit an approved Workforce Development form prior to the first day of class.
  • Workforce tuition waiver students must show proof of a completed financial aid application prior to registration.
  • Workforce tuition waiver students will be informed on the first day of class whether they can register for the program or course. Tuition waiver students cannot defer their admission to another semester.

  • Tuition waiver students must submit a registration form for selected courses at least ten days before the start of class, but will not be permitted to register. Registration through the web for student system will not be allowed.
  • Tuition waiver students will be informed if they may take the class by the second course meeting day after registration closes for the paid students.
  • If the number of Workforce Tuition Waiver students requesting an individual course exceeds the course's available enrollment, registration will be conducted on a "first come, first served" basis, by date of the applicant's request and a completed financial application.
  • Matriculated students who become unemployed after being enrolled in a SN program or course will not be eligible for the workforce development training program at SN.

  • Tuition waiver students must submit all completed forms and selected course registration forms at least ten days before the start of class. Non-matriculated students are not eligible for financial aid, and are therefore not required to complete financial aid applications.

  • Priority will be given to matriculated students, paying non-matriculated students and followed by the Workforce Development Training Program matriculated and non-matriculated students based on the date of request and completed information.
